Mason, Ohio – In the shadow of the Eiffel Tower and a proverbial stone’s throw from The Speed Article® Southwest Ohio field office rests Mason High School—home of the first annual Jyan Waespe Car and Bike Show. The event hopes to raise scholarship funds for trade students entering the automotive industry in the name of a young car enthusiast who’s life was cut short in a tragic auto accident.
And judging from the turnout, we’re inclined to think that the event was a roaring success. The massive high school campus was packed with every conceivable flavor of automobila—from prewar classics to Detroit muscle to high-end exotics. Toss in a few Kei trucks, some European imports, and a jaw-dropping mix of motorbikes, and it was tough not to be impressed with such a well-run event.
